Privacy Policy
Overview
VoxDraft ("we", "our", "us") is a voice note application that converts spoken recordings into formatted text. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What We Collect
We collect the minimum data needed to provide the service:
- Email address — used for account creation and authentication
- Voice recordings — sent to our AI processing service for transcription and formatting
- Saved notes — the text output from your processed recordings, stored in your account
- Usage data — daily recording count, stored locally on your device
How We Process Voice Recordings
When you record a voice note, the audio is sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription and OpenAI's language model for text formatting. This processing happens in real-time.
We do not permanently store your audio recordings on our servers. Audio is processed and discarded. Only the resulting text transcript and formatted output are saved to your account if you choose to save them.
OpenAI's data processing is subject to their API data usage policy. As of March 2026, OpenAI does not use API inputs or outputs to train their models.
How We Store Your Data
Your account data and saved notes are stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Your data is protected by row-level security policies, meaning only you can access your own notes through your authenticated account.
Payment Processing
Subscription payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) depending on your device. We do not directly collect, store, or process any payment information such as credit card numbers. Subscription management is handled through RevenueCat.
What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not use your recordings to train AI models
- We do not permanently store your audio files
- We do not display advertisements
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
- We do not share your data with data brokers
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — view all your saved notes within the app
- Delete your data — delete individual notes or your entire account
- Export your data — copy or share any of your saved notes
- Withdraw consent — stop using the service at any time

Data Retention
Your saved notes are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete a note, it is permanently removed from our database. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
VoxDraft is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
